We appreciate your interest in Heat Reclaim, a technology that can efficiently reduce energy consumption of residential, commercial, and industrial equipment. Our job is to provide a win-win situation for our customers: your efforts to save the earth will also save you money. No matter if you are an industry professional or just someone who wants to save money, it may be worth your time to read our FAQ.
A lot of our human activities produce excess heat. This excess energy can be captured and reused through Heat Reclaim.
Heat reclaim is actually not new, but evidence suggests that heat reclaim has existed for thousands of years. The ancient northern Chinese built beds with stone and mud, with an air tunnel underneath, connected between the stove and the chimney. Every time they cook, the excess heat warms up the bed before leaving through the chimney.
The majority of US homes pay energy bills for their A/C, as well as heating water. We can help you set up a reclaim system so that instead of the A/C dumping the heat from your house outside, that heat is used to heat up your shower water, or even your swimming pool. You can spend less money heating up water, and at the same time, decrease kWh used by the AC, and the compressor has a longer lifetime.
The answer depends on the type of commercial space.
Example 1:
A barber shop's A/C runs from the start of the day to the end, and warm water is used for customers. A heat reclaim system can cut the energy bill significantly.
Example 2:
A grocery store or a restaurant, along with the large A/C system, must likely have a cooler or freezer running 24/7. That is a lot of heat thrown away by those equipments. As the health department requires the use of warm water for cleaning, investing in a heat reclaim system to heat up the water makes sense financially.
Example 3:
An office that is equipped with an A/C must likely also have a restroom with warm water. With a heat reclaim system, the operating cost of the office can be lower than your competition.
If you can already afford to pay your energy bills, you will most likely be able to also afford a suitable heat reclaim system. Here is why. Our experienced engineers will design a system according to your house's/business' enery consumption, hot water demand, size of A/C, and the type of water heater. Based on these factors, they will calculate how much money you can save from your energy bills. We presume that after running your A/C with the heat reclaim system for 30 months, the savings from the system will pay back the initial cost, and after the 30th month, all savings from the energy bills will be a net profit of this investment.
Please feel free to ask your local agent to see if they have a monthly payment plan available for you.

To showcase how heat reclaim helps with saving you money, let's consider an example. Every time you turn on your A/C, the compresor consumes a massive amount of electricity to circulate refrigerant between inside and outside of your house. That refrigerant absorbs heat from indoors, carries it to the condenser -- located outside the building -- where the condensing fan sucks in the outdoor air to remove heat from the refrigerant, allowing it to continue absorbing more heat inside. However, a problem arises when you turn on your A/C while its hot out. Now, the A/C is using hot air to try to cool down the superheated refrigerant, and while it is not very efficient, it is very cheap. In order to maximize their profits, the A/C manufacturer needs to make their products as cheap as possible, even at the cost of their customers' expenses.
However, while you are paying to throw away all this heat to the streets, you are also paying the energy company to heap up water for domestic use via your water heater. This is how these big companies are making you spend more money on them, while also unnecessarily wasting energy. A properly designed heat reclaim system should be able to do the following to save you money:
Unless you have an HVAC technician certification under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act from the EPA, proper tools, and operation experience, we can not sell you the HR equipment.
